On Friday, November 1, 2024, the first batch of Geography/Tourism students of Girls’ Secondary School, Igbo-Ukwu, most of whom were members of the Professor Christopher Ominyofe Balogun Social Science Club (PCOBSC), embarked on an educational visit to the National Museum and Monuments, Igbo-Ukwu.

The “Out-of-Classroom” learning experience provided students with a unique opportunity to complement classroom lessons through direct observation and interaction with historical and cultural materials.

During the visit, students participated in guided discussions, explored ancient artifacts and documentary exhibits, and gained valuable insights into geographical, historical, cultural, and educational concepts.

The excursion was both enlightening and memorable, further stimulating students’ interest in learning, research, tourism, and cultural heritage.

Special appreciation goes to the dedicated Geography Mentor, Mr. Callistus, who sponsored the logistics for the visit, making the educational tour a successful and rewarding experience for all participants.
